Last week, Lido Finance began its long-awaited migration to Curated Module v2, leveraging Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade to merge over 265,000 validators into fewer, larger entities. The immediate cost: 738.5 ETH in lost staking rewards—roughly $2.4 million at current prices. That’s not a bug; it’s a feature of a system that prioritizes operational efficiency over the quiet friction of trust.
